Threading the Needle
01:58
|
|||
The night is our day
Time slips away
Shiva has come to stay
Until the path has cleared a way
It is the razor's edge
It is like threading the needle
What is wrong and what is right
Relax and drop the fight
Neither that's neither that
When you come into the light
Into the garden of delight
The secret revealed
Open up and be within
There truly is no end
It is the razor's Edge
It is threading the needle
What is wrong and what is right?
Relax drop the fight
Neither this neither that
When you come into the light
Into the light

Enigma Inside a Riddle

Enigma Inside a Riddle
Here we go sailing far away across the sea
From the mountains through the valleys and places in between.
From up high-we see everything….or so it seems.
Come away from all the dreams and schemes
Distorting what is seen.
We turn away and turn inside instead
Water to wine and breaking bread.
CHORUS:
To the Oracle-nine points within a circle
The mystery unfolds.
To the Oracle-nine points within a circle
An enigma inside a riddle.
Om Namah Shivaya (4 times)
Step into this world of fantasy
Dissolving long held beliefs.
We step into this light so fantastic
Revealing All…we finally see.
CHORUS:
To the Oracle-nine points within a circle
The mystery unfolds.
To the Oracle-nine points within a circle
An enigma inside a riddle.
Om Namah Shivaya (4 times)

“Om Namah Shivaya” is often referred to as “the five-syllable-mantra”—evoking the five elements of existence: earth, water, fire, air, and space. It is a Vedic mantra said to be both purifying and a healing. This mantra is particularly potent given Shiva’s connection to death and destruction. A key element of yogic philosophy is coming to terms with our own mortality and the impermanence of existence. Om Namah Shivaya, then, is not only elevating in the sense that it brings the chanter closer to the divine, but also in its courageous affirmation: I take solace even in the unknowable and unimaginable path of destruction.

The Core of a Shell
Inside/Outside
Waves turn away
This space/this place
No need for a name
No gain/no loss
No face or race
All colors blend as One
The warmth of the Sun
Beyond the blood
Beyond bloodshed
Beyond illusion
Impermanence/ Eternal
Touch me

Nothing Left to Lose

Nothing Left to Lose
(spoken) One step this way, and one step that
No matter where you think you're going
This is where it's at.
I gathered my oars and took to the sea
Looking in all directions, with water all around me
Chorus: This is where it ends and where it all begins
No matter what I choose, there's nothing left to lose.
1st Bridge: Because it's a crazy game, a crazy crazy game...
It's okay here because you don't need a name.
I wandered through the forest
Dense as it could be
With no sense of direction
Beyond this game of you and me.
Chorus: This is where it ends and where it all begins
No matter what I choose, there's nothing left to lose.
2nd Bridge: Because it's a crazy game, such a crazy crazy game...
In a place where you don't need a name...no, you don't need a name
Cuz there's Nothing Left to Lose....

Forgetting to Remember

Forgetting to Remember
Today, which face?
Which way to face, the wind?
It now calls out to you
Which ear hears without fear?
Which I am I today?
What mask suits this mortal play?
Which words will we all say?
This game of thoughts distorts the Way.
Forgetting to remember…forgetting to remember
Forgetting to remember…forgetting to remember….

Heart Without Measure

Heart Without Measure
Away now from the clouds
Distorting all we see
Away now from the noise
That keeps us deep asleep
Break away from the yearning
What’s this stirring to be free?
Be still—and listen….
To be free is to be empty
To be free is to be open
Heart without measure
No need for numbers
A Heart without measure
Cannot be contained
Inside a face or a name….

It's Up to Ourselves
01:22
|
|||
It’s Up To Ourselves
So deep in the shadows
We find ourselves…
Nowhere a glimpse of light.
All talk is a babble-
A chattering rattle,
Mistaking imitation for light.
Stepping forward, then backwards…
We move in circles,
Yet the taste is so bittersweet.
An obstacle, an opening…
A sacrament, an enigma.
The dilemma and solution are all here.
It’s up to ourselves…it’s up to ourselves…it’s up to us.

Into the Silence
05:27
|

Into the Silence
The image on the screen
The voice-the unheard scream
The void within the dream
What we see is not what it seems.
Empire rises and then it falls
One by one they come and go.
An empire rises, another falls
One by one we come and go…
Chorus one:
Hello Mescalito, Into the desert we go
Into the Silence-beyond the violence
Receive the Nagual-protecting us all
Letting go of beliefs and what we think we know…let it go, let it go….
Like dust gathering all around
Wave upon wave and sound upon sound
Tethered, tied, chained and bound
Breaking free from what holds us down.
Gathering all around, gathering all around…..
The Power of Silence…the Warrior’s Way….luminous beings.
Stopping the internal dialogue.
Chorus Two:
Old Man in the desert-impeccable Warrior
Into the Silence where all is quiet
Receive the Nagual protecting us all
Letting go of beliefs and what we think we know…let it go, let it go….
From the desert to the sky, Encounters with the ally. (repeat)
“I am already given to the power that rules my fate.
And I cling to nothing, so I will have nothing to defend.
I have no thoughts, so I will see.
I fear nothing, so I will remember myself.
Detached and at ease, I will dart past the Eagle to be free.”
~Don Juan~ (as told by Carlos Castaneda)*
Here in the desert, there is the land, the mountains,
The sky,- the air. Breathe, breathe deeply.
Taking a path with a heart.
